Job Summary
The Regional Catering Sales Manager (RCSM) will manage catering sales strategy and support the efforts of the Catering Coordinators within their region. This position reports directly to the Director of Catering (DOC) with a dotted line to the Director of Operations (DO).
Essential Responsibilities
Develop and execute quarterly catering sales plan and goals.
Provide support, training and development of catering software among the District Managers, General Managers and Catering Coordinators in the region to achieve catering sales budget goals.
Monitor, track, and analyze catering sales numbers daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly. Make tactical recommendations accordingly.
Maintain and be prepared to provide all sales / statistical metrics as required by the Director of Catering and the Director of Operations.
Build collaborative partnerships with field Ops, Marketing and Training teams.
Establish close and effective relationships with Director of Operations to identify market-appropriate tactics and solutions to catering issues.
Assist General Managers and Catering Coordinators with the development of catering sales plans.
Assist the Catering Coordinator in executing tactics for discovering and fostering new clients.
Support Catering Coordinator for significant / key-account client presentations and lobby events.
Lead the implementation of national catering marketing promotions, i.e. Administrative Professionals Week.
Ensure brand standards and Serv Safe standards are met in the execution of caterings.
Ensure marketing promotions directed by Corporate Office are executed as designed.
Ensure all leads and catering orders are input into the catering software.
Host training webinars and annual conference calls to supplement one on one support
Utilize CRM to develop a tactical plan for “first-time users”, “lapsed users” and “moderate to heavy users”.
Communicate all significant issues to the DOC or DO in a timely manner with appropriate recommendations for resolution.
Be prepared for market visits by the DOC.
Be prepared to assist the DOC with collateral duties and special projects as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Clear and effective communication skills written, verbal and presentation
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Demonstrated sales skills; ability to understand sales budgets and write sales plans to meet budget requirements
Strong knowledge of ServSafe procedures
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
Ability to quickly learn and master new computer software
Maintain valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
